Maunuhanga—Wellington Postdoctoral Society invites you to this Research Leadership Workshop for Early Career Researchers. Called From the Front of the Room, its focus is on developing your presentation skills. Presentation skills are crucial for early-stage researchers to bring visibility to your topic, clearly articulate your research findings, attract funding, build professional networks, and stand out in your field.

It will be a safe space to test out your ideas on how to introduce and share your research with others. It will be a practical session designed to build both your confidence and competence in sharing your research, its impact on the world, and why it is interesting and important. 

We will explore creating a 30-second Elevator Pitch designed to capture the attention and interest of anyone who can be a positive influence on your work. You can use it at formal networking events, academic conferences, in casual conversations, or even during an actual elevator ride.
